You used 2 Peter to prove that God delivers His people out of God’s wrath. This verse is not talking about God’s wrath. It is talking about “afflictions” or “intense suffering,” out of which God is able to deliver. How can God deliver the godly “out of” His wrath, when they are never appointed to be in it in the first place?

Nor does it mean that He spares them afflictions and intense suffering, but only that He knows how to deliver them out of it. They may even die, but their deliverance comes at the resurrection. God often allows His people to experience horrible suffering. But the flesh counts for nothing. Noah did not escape God’s wrath by being removed from the earth.
